THE CONSIDERATE PRACTICE – FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS

(Combined Terms for Foot Health Care & Mentoring Services)

Thank you for choosing The Considerate Practice. We aim to provide high-quality, personalised care across both our Foot Health services and our professional Mentoring programmes.
These Terms form the basis of your agreement with us. Please read them carefully.


SECTION A – GENERAL TERMS (APPLIES TO BOTH FOOT HEALTH & MENTORING)

A1. The Agreement

A1.1 These Terms & Conditions form the agreement between you and The Considerate Practice (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”).

A1.2 By registering with us and booking any service—Foot Health or Mentoring—you agree to be bound by these Terms.

A1.3 If any conflict exists between these Terms and other written materials, these Terms take precedence.
If there is any conflict between these Terms and our Privacy Policy, these Terms take precedence followed by the Privacy Policy.

A1.4 We may update these Terms occasionally. Updated Terms apply only to future appointments, not to treatment or mentoring programmes already in progress.


A2. Registration, Information & Accuracy

A2.1 You must ensure that all information provided at registration (contact details, medical history, business details for mentoring, etc.) is accurate.

A2.2 You agree to update us immediately if your contact details or relevant information change.
We cannot be held responsible for missed communication if outdated details are held.


A3. Appointment Process

A3.1 All appointments—clinical or mentoring—include an initial assessment to determine suitability for the service booked.

A3.2 It is your responsibility to ensure that the appointment type selected is appropriate.

A3.3 We reserve the right to decline or modify services where:

  • it is not safe or appropriate,

  • the booking type is incorrect,

  • the service requested falls outside our scope.


A4. Payments & Fees

A4.1 Unless otherwise agreed, full payment is required either at the time of booking or on the day of the appointment.

A4.2 We accept:

  • debit/credit cards

  • bank transfer

  • cash

Cheques are not accepted.

A4.3 Where payment plans are used (e.g. GoCardless):

  • you are responsible for maintaining the plan for its full duration,

  • cancelling a plan early requires the remaining balance to be paid immediately.

A4.4 Any balances owed must be cleared before further appointments can be booked.


A5. Payments by Third Parties (Foot Health or Mentoring)

A5.1 If a third party (e.g., employer, charity, sponsor, community group) has agreed to fund your appointment, written confirmation must be received before the appointment.

A5.2 You must provide any information requested to verify the arrangement.

A5.3 If the third party fails to pay within 30 days, the outstanding balance becomes your personal responsibility.


A6. Cancellations, Lateness & Non-Attendance

A6.1 If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must give at least 48 hours’ notice.

A6.2 Fees may apply for:

  • late cancellations,

  • non-attendance without notice,

  • repeated booking failures.

A6.3 If you arrive late:

  • your appointment may need to finish at the original end time,

  • we may be unable to see you if doing so would impact subsequent clients.

A6.4 Repeated non-attendance may result in The Considerate Practice declining future bookings.


A7. Confidentiality

A7.1 We treat all personal information as strictly confidential in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

A7.2 Confidentiality applies to:

  • medical information,

  • mentoring discussions,

  • other clients’ identities or circumstances,

  • shared group sessions or training spaces.

A7.3 We ask that you also maintain the confidentiality of any information you encounter during visits, online sessions, or mentoring sessions.


A8. Data Protection

A8.1 We process your personal data in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

A8.2 By registering or booking, you consent to your information being used to deliver the service you have requested.


A9. Safety, Conduct & Professional Boundaries

A9.1 You agree to behave respectfully during appointments, communications, and online interactions.

A9.2 We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services in circumstances including but not limited to:

  • inappropriate behaviour,

  • safeguarding concerns,

  • boundary violations,

  • disrupted communication,

  • repeated non-compliance with Terms.

A9.3 Any such decision will be explained clearly.


A10. Right to Decline or End Services

We may postpone, modify, or decline services where:

  • it is unsafe,

  • information provided is incomplete or inaccurate,

  • you fail to follow practice policies,

  • respect or professional boundaries cannot be maintained.


A11. Liability

A11.1 We will always deliver services with due care and professional skill.

A11.2 No service—clinical or mentoring—can guarantee an outcome.

A11.3 We are not responsible for:

  • business losses,

  • financial decisions,

  • self-employed outcomes,

  • results of decisions made following mentoring sessions.



SECTION B – FOOT HEALTH TERMS (FOOT HEALTH ONLY)

B1. Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning

B1.1 Your Foot Health Practitioner will assess your condition and determine the treatment you should receive.

B1.2 You must ensure your treatment plan accurately reflects your wishes and understanding of the appointment.

B1.3 You agree to provide a full and accurate medical history.


B2. Clinical Risks

B2.1 We will always aim for satisfactory outcomes, but:

  • no clinical procedure is entirely risk-free,

  • results cannot be guaranteed,

  • healing times vary significantly.


B3. Foot Health Standard Rates & Packages

B3.1 Unless a fixed price or package is agreed in writing, standard rates apply.


B4. Home Visit Appointments

B4.1 Home visits are available within a 5-mile radius of Faringdon only.

B4.2 Bookings outside this radius will be cancelled or rearranged.

B4.3 Patients may select a preferred timeslot, but:

  • we reserve the right to adjust appointment times

  • to allow for safe, efficient travel planning and routing.

B4.4 Any adjustments will be communicated as early as possible.


B5. Bespoke Items

B5.1 If bespoke items (orthoses, offloading devices, specialist materials) are ordered for you:

  • they must be paid for in full,

  • they are non-refundable once ordered.


B6. Children & Treatment

B6.1 Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who:

  • provides consent,

  • accepts responsibility for payment,

  • remains present throughout the appointment where appropriate.



SECTION C – MENTORING TERMS (MENTORING ONLY)

C1. The Nature of Mentoring

C1.1 Mentoring is designed to support:

  • business development,

  • reflective practice,

  • professional skills,

  • planning,

  • confidence-building.

C1.2 Mentoring is not:

  • clinical supervision,

  • psychotherapy,

  • counselling,

  • legal or financial advice.

C1.3 You remain fully responsible for your own decisions, actions, and outcomes.


C2. Mentoring Packages & Sessions

C2.1 Sessions may be delivered online or in person.

C2.2 You are encouraged to come prepared with topics, questions, and materials.

C2.3 Refunds are not provided once:

  • the first mentoring session has taken place, or

  • any programme resources have been delivered.


C3. Resources, Templates & Intellectual Property

C3.1 Any resources provided—templates, workbooks, frameworks, calculators, PDFs, or training materials—remain the intellectual property of The Considerate Practice.

C3.2 They are for your personal use only.

C3.3 You may not:

  • share,

  • distribute,

  • publish,

  • resell,

  • brand as your own, or

  • use them to train other practitioners
    without written permission.


C4. Communication Between Sessions

C4.1 Light communication between sessions (such as email or messaging) is available within reasonable limits.

C4.2 Response times may vary and should not be used for urgent matters.
